Why do you think that most Americans do seem to be aware of or concerned about the degree of income inequality in the United States? To what extent might it be due to the power of the American Dream, the influence of the media or the working of the dominant ideology?

The reason that most Americans do seem to be aware of or concerned about the degree of income inequality in the United States is that we see the race different in the United States and the sexes in income because the issue is in the Media and without that we would not know about the inequalities and we would not tried to fix that. 

The extent might it be due to the power of the American Dream is the American Dream tells that anyone can make it in American if you work hard but people do prejudge people.
